About Me

I was born in Chile and my family emigrated to Canada when I was seven years old. I have lived and worked in Toronto for most of my life. When I was in my teens, my grandmother lived with us. She was a talented painter and I used to sit for hours and watch her paint. I started sketching when I was quite young and when my grandmother died, it was only natural that I take up her paints and brushes and begin my artistic journey. I painted into my twenties but life intervened. I practiced law for several years, then began my own décor and design business. Although I hadn’t painted for a very long time, seven years ago, I decided it was the right time in my life to go back to what I loved doing.  After extensive travel, I saw some wonderful works by other artists.  They inspired me to add landscapes to my practice.  I would describe this as an evolving, organic pursuit.
